2023 Founder’s Day
What a marvelous day! In celebration of our 119th Founder’s Day (September 10th, 1904), some of the Sisters of St Francis of Assisi joined us in chapel on Thursday, September 7th to celebrate their accomplishments and for being the founders of our mission here at St. Coletta. As a tradition – we held a lunch with potatoes from our garden in honor of the first sisters that arrived at St. Coletta in 1864 who had just potatoes, tea and salt to eat.
We also had a new wall creation ribbon cutting and reveal for the Portiuncula inside our Little Flower Chapel, the announcement of those selected to go on the 2024 Assisi Pilgrimage, a photo of our OSF Associate’s, and the blessing of a new van arrival with a pair of hummingbirds flying near for their approval.
