Dear Families and Friends Grace Landing,

(December 4th, 2020)

There has been a lot of activity to share on the project this week.  Most notable is the arrival of the Father Solanus Casey home and placement on the foundation.  The home makes the project look like it has been underway for a while.  I have attached some outdoor pictures and some indoor shots to view.  The crew is busy with the roof right now and it will not be complete until mid-next week (there are many gables to be installed that give it a distinctive look).  Meanwhile, there will be some serious work going on inside and out.  The bricklayer will start on the masonry early next week and the siding will go on the home also.  Inside, drywallers will finish transitions and the floor installers will finish the floors (most of the work was already complete prior to its arrival).   The fire sprinkler contractor was working today in the basement to finish the pipe work.  Next week the concrete contractor will pour the porches, the garage floor and the basement floor.  The following week the HVAC system will be installed along with the water softener and water heater.  If you are keeping track, yes, the home will be finished in about 4 weeks weather depending.  That would support an opening in mid-January subject to licensing and final occupancy.  House number two (St. Maria Cresentia) modules will arrive next week and be placed on the foundation December 14th and 15th.  If you have loved ones in that home stop by to watch.  It takes about 5 hours to place the home on the foundation.  That home is scheduled to be complete late January.  St. Angela Merici is scheduled to be built in February with a March finish.  The club house will be built in the late spring.   Finally,  today the new road into Grace Landing was laid.  Yes, we have a blacktop driveway!  Pray for continued great weather.
