St. Coletta of Wisconsin

#Giving Tuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, fueled by the power of social media, collaboration, and encouraging people to do good. #Giving Tuesday inspires millions of people across the globe to show up and give back to causes & issues that matter to them. We hope you will choose St. Coletta of Wisconsin.

The individuals at St. Coletta have access to various programs depending on their needs and abilities. St. Coletta provides extended education in our program areas that will ensure more success in the future. Programs provide person-centered, meaningful, and socially enjoyable activities throughout the day.

“Along with all of the basic education, I have learned from Rhonda, Jamie, and my Gen 2 classmates, how to find and use my advocacy voice. I am not only learning to use it for myself and have taught others how to use their voice.”
~Kristi S – Individual Served by St. Coletta

Through education, Genesis participants continue to realize the lack of equality and look to seek fair treatment. In doing so, they are finding their voice and also different platforms to communicate these concerns. Genesis participants receive training and education on life skills, social rights, exercising democracy (voting), presentation skills, and job training.
~Connie, Gemma, Jamie, and Rhonda ~Jefferson Genesis Staff

Let’s kick off the giving season by showing your kindness by donating to “Education & Advocacy” for our St. Coletta’s Individuals on #Giving Tuesday, by making a gift today.

Our Genesis staff and individuals were busy last week preparing a homemade Thanksgiving Lunch to serve for their special guests. What they could use fresh from the garden and orchards were included in the meal.

Some guests were special invite and some were winners picked from those who donated to the Genesis Food Drive.

It was an excellent meal and such wonderful hosts and servers. Thank you, Genesis for such a sought after seat at your table! :)

On Tuesday, November 29th, St. Coletta of Wisconsin will join the world for this incredible global event. Join us on #givingtuesday2022 day to celebrate “Education & Advocacy” for our St. Coletta Individuals.
Education is essential for all individuals, including those served here at St. Coletta. Education gives everyone a chance to acquire new knowledge and new skills. We offer a range of learning opportunities to those in our residential homes, programs, recreation services, and vocational skills training programs.

The St. Coletta staff are advocates who teach, inspire, want to help others, and encourage our individuals to pitch in and help others.

In the coming weeks, keep an eye out for more information about “Education & Advocacy” at St. Coletta of Wisconsin.

Here Is Why Our Individuals & Staff Think Education & Advocacy Are Important!

The best thing I learned at St. Coletta was learning how to garden. I love to plant vegetables & flowers and weeding.
~Alec R – Client at St. Coletta for 52 years.

I advocate for our clients to ensure they get the necessary care, services, and supplies.
~Jen Wolf – St. Coletta Case Coordinator
