Monica Mary “Cups” Duffey
In Memorium
Our sweet sister, Monica Mary “Cups” Duffey, passed away on July 28, 2024. Monica, the heart and soul of our family of 9 children, was a lover of music, with favorites like the Righteous Brothers, Petula Clark, and Brenda and the Tabulations. Her uncanny ability to recall music trivia from the 1950s to the 1970s was remarkable. She adored old TV shows and found joy in jigsaw puzzles and Penny Press crossword puzzles. She loved luxurious “tubbies”, the color purple and spending time with each one of her siblings with outings to Walmart, Target, and Barnes & Noble and Friday night dinners out at Culver’s and Denny’s. Monica was a loyal supporter of the Bucks, Brewers, Packers, Marquette, and Badgers (or at least the swag associated with each!)
Monica spent more than 50 years at St. Coletta of Wisconsin, where she was surrounded by compassionate caregivers who enriched her life with their kindness and dedication. We are deeply grateful for the love and care she received there especially Norris House and Padua House staff – you are all truly angels!! In honor of Monica’s memory, we kindly ask for donations to be made to St. Coletta of Wisconsin, ensuring that their wonderful work continues to touch the lives of others as it did for Monica.
